The blanket is soft, it is weighted, it keeps me very warm, especially for a blanket that says it’s supposed to be “cooling.”This was my first weighted blanket. I wanted something relatively inexpensive while I learned if this type of product would work for me.This blanket was/is perfect for that. Inexpensive, moderately inexpensive cover, good weight options at purchase.The cons though are that it is rather warm. For use in summer you’d need a very cool room.Also, if you side sleep, the weight squares are a bit large and the filling all slides to one edge of the pocket meaning that the weight is on the sides of your body more than the top of your body. If you are a side sleeper you might want to consider a blanket with smaller squares so the filling can’t slide as far down the sides.All in all, I still really like it. I may get a fancier “cooling” summer blanket at some point though. And then still use this one for cooler temps and the fancier cooling blanket for summer temps.ordered this cover to cover my moms favorite Japanese blanket that was slowly falling apart.... so I sewed up the tears and coved with this cover and she is so happyIf I slept 4 hours I felt like I'd really accomplished something. I kept seeing these blankets advertised and thinking - what??? Then a woman with RA (I have RA for 46 years already) wrote a review just in love with this blanket. I bought it that day. Loved the idea of a cooling blanket because I run a fever every day sometimes as high as 103.6 and I sleep hot. When the blanket arrived it felt very heavy but I checked and it was 15 lbs. so I put it on my bed and that night I crawled under the blanket. I slept 4 hours and had to use the bathroom so I came back to bed (this is the part where I can never get back to sleep), picked up the tv remote to put the news on and woke up 3 1/2 hrs. later with the tv remote still in my hand but I never made it as far as to turn the tv on. I was blown away. Not only did I sleep like. a log but I didn't feel quite as stiff. It's been a few months now and I sleep between 6 and 9 hours a night. I usually get up once to use the bathroom but then I'm right back to sleep. I still have an occasional night where I have a bad night because I overdid it during the day. or just have too much pain for whatever reason. I ended up buying a duvet for the weighted blanket. I share my bed with 2 dogs so I really needed the duvet. I bought the one from Weighted Ideas that matched my blanket. I no longer wake up in a pool of sweat during the night, no longer have to get up and change my night clothes because they're wet and clammy, I'm not hot and I'm not cold - I feel like. it's the perfect temperature all the time. The blanket does feel heavy when you're moving it around but it doesn't. feel heavy when it's on you. I've had no issue with the beads shifting or congregating on the edges etc. My 7lb chihuahua who's 18 years old wiggles her way underneath the weighted blanket and snuggles up against my side. How she does it I have no clue but I wake up most of the time with her right there. If you have trouble sleeping it's worth a try because I was a non-believer until I slept under one. Good luck and sweet dreams..................I bought this in the exact size and same brand as the weighted blanket, but the blanket was severely bunched up inside the cover. It was nearly half the size and I thought the cover was the wrong size until I read someone else's review who suggested to lay the cover on your bed inside out and then lay the blanket on top, tie the ties and then flip it right side out. That worked and was much easier than trying to stuff it inside and match up the ties. The cover itself is not very soft, but I think it will work okay for now.So first, to put this on my blanekt I followed what a previous reviewer said to flip the sheet inside out to make it easier and it worked! I would say using this has tremendously cooled me down by like 90%. I used to wake up very drench and now it's very much more cooling. Would recommend!We use our blanket on the sofa, but this cover wrinkles with deep creases. It's super comfy and soft though, like a great set of cotton sheets.I used this as a cover for my weighted blanket.Easy to use, and the ties on the inside have held up very well.I've had this cover for about 3 years now, and it has held up great throughout the washes and drying.I bought this item after reading a lot of good reviews. However, it did not work for my autistic son.We wanted to address the sleep issue that he has been getting for a couple of years. So we thought of giving it a go. I came to know about this product through SensaCalm but I did not have the budget for that, so settled for this one.Not as advertised. Not suited for weighted blanket does not fit properly tie off points don’t matchVery soft, but can not get the wrinkles out. Blanket tends to bunch inside.
