I got this product for free through the vine program for review.We recently started using duvet covers because they're easier to wash than our king sized blankets in our standard washer. We have a few of them but you can never have enough, so I requested this one to try.My first impressions of the packaging were good. It came folded nicely and tied with a little ribbon and was put into a zipper close plastic bag like some clothing items I've received from Amazon before.Taking it out of the package, I noticed the material. It's a very rough, almost canvas-like fabric. Think almost the same material as some beach cover up shorts/pants. The kind that are meant to dry quickly in heat. I decided to wash it to see if it would soften it up. It did slightly, but it's still far rougher than I like my bedding to be.It seems to be made well. The seams and stitching are pretty well done. I haven't noticed any issues. The bottom of the duvet has a zipper closure that is hidden by some fabric so it doesn't stand out. The ties on the inside of the duvet are loops instead of two pieces of fabric to tie the duvet into, which I don't mind.The pillow cases are your standard open ended pillow cases. Nothing too special there. They are made of the same scratchy material. The tag inside the pillow case says 100% cotton, but so are my bed sheets and they feel nothing alike.All in all, if you aren't into super soft bedding like I am, you may like this. But for me, I'll pass. I won't be using this on my bed but it may make a nice cover for my dogs bedding.This is a nice duvet for my King Sized bed! It is a little scratchier than I had hoped for though. Not very soft. I also do not find it to be a PURE white color. I have been using a pure white duvet and this one here is more of an Off-white color. Which is, ok for someone looking for that color, but I prefer Pure White.This does fit nicely over a King Sized Insert. And, the stitching is good! I would recommend this if you’re looking for an Off White colored King Duvet.I thought the product was going to be a big fluffy comforter, instead you get sheets paired with pillow cases. I guess the picture is kind of misleading or I made the mistake. Either way the sheets were packaged nicely, they felt soft, loved that it’s a full set instead of just sheets. They are great for the price.I bought it thinking it wad a comforter, but is a cover, just like a bed sheet with a zipper, the quality is just like a regular bed sheetThe blanket is just a cover it has a zipper on it to get it filled. It’s very heavy.I had tried one duvet before and was completely unsatisfied with it and decided to try a different type with this one. This is a linen. It is like a thicker linen, a couple or so layers attached together that you can use an insert inside. I was planning to just use this as a top blanket or comforter. It does okay. I found it to be a little too warm for this time of year, so I had to switch to something a little lighter as it does have a little weight to it. The color is fine on it. I am not sure I would get it again, but I will get a lot of use out of what I have.Feels a little stiff to begin with but becomes more softer once it’s been washed!
