How To Put On a Duvet Cover? Step 1: Take your duvet cover and turn it inside out. Lay the duvet cover out on top of your bed. The opening of the duvet cover should be facing away from where you stand. Step 2: Take your comforter (or duvet) and place it on top of the duvet cover. Ensure all corners and edges are aligned neatly. The more aligned they are to one another, the better the end result. If your duvet cover comes with corner ties, tie all interior corner ties of the duvet cover to the loops on the comforter. Step 3: Once aligned, stand opposite of the opening of the duvet cover and begin to roll the comforter and duvet cover. Adjust the edges as you roll, making sure they are rolled together. Step 4: After everything is completely rolled up, grab hold of one end of the roll. Using the enclosure of the duvet cover, stuff the comforter roll inside. Continue the motion across the entire roll. Step 5: Zip up the duvet cover. Position the roll on the bed so that the zipper enclosure is aligned with the bottom of the bed. Step 6: Start unrolling. The unrolling motion should be a mixture of unrolling and pulling apart the duvet cover from the roll. Give the duvet cover a few shakes and that's it! :) Zipper closure, convenient to get your duvet in and out. I bought the duvet set once I decided to keep the weighted blanket I bought last month, which I bought with a light cotton duvet. Due to incredibly limited duvet options with the blanket, I started searching for something more interesting but close to the correct size.What's been surprising to me about the weighted blanket with the original cotton duvet was that it doesn't overheat me. (I'm in FLA and had been sleeping with no cover until a light throw at dawn.) So when I first ordered a new duvet it was only minutes before I cancelled after thinking to check fabric: polyester is not an option so I cancelled that order and kept looking until I came across these 100% COTTON beauties!When I fist unpacked the duvet I couldn't believe it was 100% cotton and had to check the tag. It has a lovely, soft, almost velvety feel. Some kind of heavy combed cotton, I guess. I feared it would add too much warmth for my needs, but its been fine!The colors are as rich - or even more rich - than they appear in the photos. The only concern I have is whether I might eventually tire of such a busy pattern. But from experience I know that eventually I'll drop a pen or highlighter, or drip a bit of coffee, and the busier the pattern the easier to hide the stain! Besides- it's motivating me to clean up my room!NOTE: My only criticism is I didn't find any ties to help anchor the duvet, or in my case the weighted blanket. Since it's also a few inches too large all around, I've ordered Dritz Stich Witchery seam tape, tailor's chalk, and have found a single roll of satin ribbon at Walmart. This will allow me to fuse the 3 non-zipper sides about 2 inches in to get a better fit, and I'll fuse ribbons in at the appropriate points for the loops on my particular blanket.I'll try to remember to update when I know how the colors hold up to laundering. But if you feel like treating yourself to a luscious cotton duvet, go for it!Oh! ONE CAUTION: Between the weighted blanket and scrumptiously soft duvet.... I really don't like getting up in the morning ;-)
