I find down comforters one of the hardest items to shop for. They all describe themselves to be what I imagine all people to be looking for, but then the reviews are mixed and the price points all over the map. You can pay less than 100 bucks for a King, or you can pay 700 or more, and STILL get mixed reviews. I decided a few things when I started shopping. I wanted an oversized king (120x98) which eliminated a good chuck of my choices. I also wanted something with the baffle box design, which most have anyway. I wanted to try to get the most down I could get at a reasonable price point. I knew it would be a crap shoot. This comforter was very similarly priced to a lot of the limited choices I had. It had mostly good reviews. Amazon has a great return policy, so I felt safe that I wouldn’t be stuck with a product that did not meet my expectations so I went for it. Disclaimer: I just got this a few days ago. I can’t speak to it long term. Initial impressions. Nice packaging, Amazon did a good job, but also the comforter came in a nice zippered bag with carrying handles. Not that the comforter will ever fit back inside it once it fluffed up. I always can find use for that kind of packaging material. I have owned a few down comforters in my day (although I am not expert) but most of them felt pretty darn lofty and pillowy. This one right out of the bag was disappointing. We shook the tail feathers out of it for quite some time, and left it laid out to fluff up. I also “unbunched” any baffle boxes of clumped up feathers that the shaking didn’t fix, all as per instructions. There was no odor. Several reviews on various comforters talked about an offensive odor, but there was none with mine. (YAY!) We left it to acclimate for many hours then laid it out to see how it looked on the bed. I still felt it could have been fuller and more evenly dispersed filling. We got the duvet cover on and that greatly improved the overall look. The Duvet cover seemed to make the comforter look fuller and more even than without, and my bed seriously looked like the last fancy hotel we stayed in. After my first sleep, I felt like I was wrapped in a cloud and didn't want to get up! So, even though I don’t feel like I got a much less fluffy version of the comforter I saw in their ad, at the end of the day, it looked nice and slept cozy, and for the middle of the road price point, I’m ok with that.Changed curtains in BR to blue that this duvet cover pretty much matched. (Bought curtains on Amazon too.). The duvet cover is very soft with a bit of sheen. I don’t want microfiber (polyester) in my linens & this fit the bill. I use it alone in the summer & can use a comforter when cold giving it multiple uses. To change the look of your bed for $40 or so & have it be soft & easy care, seemed a bargain to me. (You could iron it, but I didn’t see a need when removing it right after the dryer stopped.).Just what I wanted 100 percent cotton and an oversized duvet ! It drapes on both sides and bottom of my king bed ! Perfect I can use all year , I keep mine as a top sheet it’s very comfy and true to color . I also purchased two pillow cases in a dusty rose color Bella !!! Thx for nice quality and a fair price! Keep up the good work .I love how this one is sustainable. Not really wrinkle free, but that’s not why I was buying a new duvet cover. Super comfy and great for the price point. A way better purchase than the room essentials target one. I will buy another one when I spill the food I eat in my bed on it and can’t get the stain out.I was very skeptical at first to try these, but decided to try it out. I am so glad I did because quality of this duvet is excellent. Please don’t waste your money to buy overpriced Boll and Branch or Parachute bedding and get this instead. Price is right and quality is fantastic.Love the color, it’s soft, doesn’t wrinkle too bad. Looks great and the size works perfect for my bed, I have a frame that’s high and could never find a comforter that would drape down to the bottom. Size I got is the 120x98 bought the same size of duvet and it all comes together perfectly.This is so great. Silky smooth and comfortable! If you don’t keep it in dryer for too long, they are wrinkle free too! Absolutely easy to take care ofProduct Review: The material is a little scratchy. (Not what I was expecting). The Product came with a note that said wash to unlock softness. Still waiting for that to happen. Due to the absence of a design stitch, it is very susceptible to wrinkling. The buttons are nice and easy to conceal. The sizing is accurate. In the warmer months, the duvet alone is really nice as a blanket.Personal Experience: Take the duvet out of the dryer when SLIGHTLY damp and lay on the bed to dry to minimize wrinkling.I was very excited about this duvet cover. However, when I opened the package today, it was ripped! Quite unacceptable for such a reputable brand. I will be asking for a full refund.I was hoping to really like this duvet cover to match my sheets, but now I question their quality.I have had this duvet cover on my bed for 2 weeks and I love it . Smooth and silky to the touch . The perfect white , the corner ties work great , I give this a perfect ratingDoesn’t seem like a 400 thread count as mentioned l. I can actually see through the pillow cover and duvet cover. The 300TC sheets I have are thicker than this. It’s alright. Seems to do the job but seeing a lot of loose threads. Overall I’ll rate it 3 starsI ordered white sateen sheets from this same company and I love them. I ordered the white sateen duvet cover to match, and was disappointed to open them and find that they are an off-white/cream colour. Not white at all. They don’t match the sheets and I will be returning them.The bedding snags on everything and does not feel smooth nor does it look smooth on. The quality is poor and after washing it a few times it is very thing and has pulls all thru the duvet cover. If I could return it I definitely would however, it is past the return date.
